Our friend Chayse is the kind of person who shows up for everyone. You’ll find him out with North End run club, on the golf course, or enjoying a few miller lites with his buddies. Chayse is a true local. He is born & raised in Norfolk, went to St Pius X, and is a chef at Eurasia in Virginia Beach.
Recently, Chayse received news that he has a tumor on the right side of his brain and will require surgery. While we’re hopeful and grateful for the medical care ahead, this journey comes with physical, emotional, and financial challenges—especially during time away from work and recovery.
We’re coming together to support Chayse. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses, recovery costs, and everyday needs so he can focus fully on healing. Every contribution, share, and message of encouragement means more than we can say.
Let’s rally around Chayse and remind him he’s not facing this alone. Thank you for being part of his support team.
Funds will be received and managed by Emily Kinder to pay medical and recovery expenses for Chayse Manugo.
Update: Chayse’s surgery went well and he is finally out of the hospital and at home recovering (1/9/26). Thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to share Chayse’s story. Your support means the world to us!
