I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of a dear friend who is facing an urgent and overwhelming situation. Right before Thanksgiving, she unexpectedly lost her job. She is a single mom to three children and is also currently caring for two additional children, along with her mother. Six people are relying on one mom who is doing everything possible to hold her family together.

Right now, she has no source of income, and her home is in critical need of repairs. The house lacks proper insulation in the walls, ceilings, and floors, causing extremely high utility bills and making it difficult—and sometimes impossible—to keep the home warm during the winter months. These conditions are placing additional strain on a family already in crisis. She is actively trying to get back on her feet, but the immediate needs are urgent and cannot wait.

Funds raised will go directly toward hiring a licensed contractor to organize, oversee, and safely guide volunteers through essential repairs, completing insulation, drywall, and flooring repairs to reduce energy costs and make the home livable, and providing stability and basic security for the children while she works to secure employment. She is someone who has always put others first, often giving more than she has. Asking for help does not come easily, but the need right now is real and immediate.
