Renee Davis (Serrapere), a 2001 Penn Trafford graduate and current seventh grade English teacher within the Southmoreland School District, has recently been dealt the devastating blow of aggressive breast cancer.
An educator like no other, Renee has lovingly and with unparallelled dedication taught countless classes over her six year tenure in the district. A fiercely devoted mother herself, Renee is a single parent to her beautiful Mila (2), and 6th grade Southmoreland Student, Gianni (12). This news is especially challenging because as a single parent she now has the added stress of constant doctor visits and learned that she will have to take unpaid leave from work while she receives, and heals from a partial mastectomy, radiation, and six months of chemo starting on December 28th.
As beautiful as Renee’s outside is, that’s how equally lovely, bright, and generous her inside is. She radiates light and kindness from within, and deserves back every ounce of sunshine she gives.
Our hope is to raise $5,000 in an attempt to offset medical (including a wig) and living expenses while Renee takes time off of work.
