This “Go Fund Me” campaign has been started by the friends of Erica Wahlig.
On August 4th, to everyone’s shock, Erica was diagnosed with aggressive Invasive Carcinoma Ductal BreastCancer and although the prognosis is promising, the treatment and recovery period is sure to be very long and difficult. Over the past 2 weeks, Erica and Charlie have been meeting with a lot of doctors, nurses and specialists to devise a plan to beat her cancer.
Chemotherapy starts August 29th and continues for 4 ½ months, followed by surgery in January/February. After surgery, Erica will undergo aggressive radiation for an additional 4 ½ months. Following radiation, additional medicine will be administered for 2 months. In total, Erica will be receiving intravenous medication throughout the fight for 12 months.
The purpose of this campaign is to help Erica and Charlie cover medical bills, treatments, co-payments, supplements, etc. which are not covered by their insurance. Erica and Charlie would never ask for handouts, so we are asking that you give what you can and please share/forward this message on to others who may be able to help as well.
