Rally for Ron

Donation protected
This is our brother Ron, he is a loving husband and father to two beautiful children, ages 6 and 3.  In December of 2014, as many were preparing for the Christmas holiday season, Ron’s world was turned upside down. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the young age of 39. The news of the cancer diagnosis was devastating to him, his wife and family.
Ron was informed by his doctors at Dana Farber that aggressive chemo treatments needed to be started immediately.   Along with these treatments he would continuously need PET scans and other various tests performed to confirm that all of his vital statistics remain at normal levels and to ensure that his heart and lungs are not affected by the chemotherapy.

He has just completed his tenth treatment.  Up to this point he has continued working through his treatments, though there have been times when he has been extremely tired, weak and sick.  He has now entered a stage in his treatments where he can no longer work due to the affects the chemo is having on his body. Still,  he continues to fight through it with a positive attitude for his family.  We know it is very hard on him and we are so proud of him for continuing to fight this. His determination and strength to win this battle continues to amaze us.  However, it comes at a cost.

All of the chemo treatments and required tests have left Ron and his family struggling financially.  Now that he is unable to work his situation is only getting worse.   He is faced with staggering medical expenses and the worries that accompany them.

Those that personally know Ron know he is a hardworking and devoted family man and not one to ask for help or handouts.  We know if he could continue to work to help pay down his expenses, he would. But he no longer can.

We have started a fund in the hopes of raising money for Ron and his family to help with their escalating medical costs.  Please consider making a donation.  Any amount is very much appreciated.  Cancer affects so many people and we are witnessing its devastating effects first hand.  If we can lessen the burden in even a small way, then we have helped Ron and his family in a huge way.

Ron’s goal is to look back at this time in his life and say, “I am Cancer Free. I am a Cancer Survivor.”
