As many of you know, my dad, Mike “Mountainman” Lamborne has been diagnosed with cancer again. He has tumors in the liver and one adrenal gland. He has already undergone scans and biopsies at UVA. We know the cancer is the same type as his original cancer from 2012.
At this time, the tumors are too big to try to surgically remove. The current plan from the team of doctors and the tumor board at UVA is for dad to first do 2 months of chemo to try to shrink the tumors. Then they will do the scans again to obtain the size of the tumors, if the chemo is successful in shrinking the tumors he will then undergo surgery.
I am reaching out to all of you right now to ask for your help with the medical expenses that his insurance is not covering, travel expenses, and his loss of income at this time. He is still trying to do some work at the shop but that is on a day to day basis depending on how he feels.
Asking for help can be one of the hardest things for us to do, but God surrounds us with good friends and family like all of you to help pick us up when we need it. I am asking all of you to rally around my dad and mom right now to help pick them up and carry them through this so dad can put the financial worries aside and just really focus on this fight and getting better.
God Bless each one of you reading this. If you are able to help just know that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
