Rally to save Sky Farm!!!!
Donation protected

Dear Friends,
Please help me continue my dream. Sky Farm unexpectedly lost the lease at the current location and needs to relocate as soon as possible. It is a tragedy widely felt by the community; the horses, their owners, local employees, the riders, and the volunteers.
Any amount is meaningful and will go a long way. This campaign supports the beginning stages of carrying out the vision of a place for people to continue to celebrate their love for horses offering a relaxing, yet competitive atmosphere. Sky Farm hopes to continue to offer a stress free pleasureful environment for people, weather walking in the field, taking care of horses, learning to ride, volunteering etc. in addition to a competitive environment for those studying dressage, eventing, and hunter pacing.
If we do not relocate, 20 horses will be homeless and the community will be at a great loss.
Sky Farm is more than a farm for people to take lessons, compete in shows, and train their horses. It is a community that is much more than riding horses, but it is a close knot unique family of all ages that have a common love for the horse community. Many of the horses were rescued from unfavorable situations, work study for those who cannot afford lessons is available, scholarships, and encouragement for local youth in times of need.
It provides a place for young people to learn teamwork and compassion for animals, the value of hard work, and the value of human compassion.
It has a therapeutic atmosphere where everyone is welcome with no judgement, especially for teenagers in their tender years.
By funding this goal, you will also be supporting the creation of an amazing farm for all ages and likes to continue the 15 years of work that has already gone into this endeavor. Many of the clients are eager to venture out into this years competition season, but without a farm and a coach those dreams will be crushed. In addition, Sky farm will branch out to offer a recognized therapeutic riding program which will focus specifically on adults with developmental delays and disabilities and teens who struggle with depression and low self esteem.
For me, Lillian Becker, it is important to save my dream. I have given my heart and soul into this business for over 15 years and it is my life. I have a bachelor of science from University of New Hampshire in equine science with concentration in equine industry and management. I hold certification in eventing and dressage from the American Riding Instructor Certification Program and am a 4-H leader for cornell cooperative extensions. Currently, I am attending Suny Albany working toward a Master's of Social Work, with the hopes of using that accreditation to build my business further and offer a therapeutic horseback riding program. I have sweat, laughed, cried, and offered support to my animals and my clients because that is what families do. This is not a horse business for me, it is my passion, and a life style choice. Please help me keep my family together and grow it.
Help spread the word, please share with your friends and family.
