In the late hours of November 17th, Ariana’s life changed in an instant. After an argument with a driver who pulled up to the side of the road, Ariana was thrown from a moving vehicle, suffering a fractured skull on impact. Her boyfriend rushed to her side, calling 911 and doing everything he could to help until emergency services arrived.
Once on scene, officers provided life support until medics arrived to take over and transport Ariana to Regions. The ER team placed a breathing tube and prepped Ariana for emergency surgery to have a portion of her skull removed so the pressure on her brain could be relieved.
Ariana now faces a long and challenging road to recovery. She will need multiple surgeries and extensive physical therapy, and the costs of medical care, travel, and daily living are quickly adding up. On top of that, Ariana is unable to work and needs help maintaining the monthly payments she was making before the incident.
Ariana has always been a bright light in her community. She started working at The Coop restaurant when she was just 14, greeting everyone with a friendly smile. She’s a devoted big sister to Victoria (13) and Zach (6), and a loyal friend to many. Now, as she faces this difficult journey, Ariana and her loved ones are asking for your support. Any contribution, big or small, will help Ariana focus on healing and remind her that her community is behind her every step of the way.
The outpour of love and support is truly a blessing and we in Ariana’s family want to thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts. We find strength in the support of the community and look forward to keeping everyone posted on the progress we look forward to Ariana making.
