Rally for Zaida: Car Needed for Work

My name is Zaida and recently I lost my car due to overwhelming financial obligations. For a while, I was able to keep up and make things work, but recently my job has scaled back on everything, including regular raises. It’s been about two years since I’ve had a change in income, and prices just kept going up. I’ve tried really hard to make the money necessary to stay afloat, but I am currently underwater and at this point, I honestly don’t care who knows. Expenses and groceries are now doubly expensive; I can’t make doctor's appointments and I’ll be expected to return to the office soon—idk how I’m going to do that without a car and keep my job.

I am asking for your help so I can acquire a new vehicle and take back control of my life. If I have to get a second job, then so be it, but I still need a way to get there.

Ngl this is sort of embarrassing because I have to be forthright about what I’m experiencing, but I am desperate and hoping my community can pull through for me. Any bit helps, so please share. I have worked so hard to acquire my home and with current property taxes, it’s becoming untenable. It’s like everything turned against me at the same time.

By helping me acquire a new car, you will:

- Give me the means to pursue additional opportunities for income (a second job).

- You will be helping me adhere to a strict budget, as I cannot drive to a grocery store at this moment and have to rely on delivery.

- You will ensure that I can keep my job as we return to the office.

- You’ll be giving me freedom of movement which I currently lack, and it has been impacting my mental health in a big way.

I haven’t had to crowdfund since I was in my early 20s and I’m not proud of having to ask, but idk what else to do.
