Rally for Zack: Marine Dad Needs Our Help

Hi all,

I am reaching out for help for one of our Marine Brothers. Zack Bailey served in Fallujah in '06/'07. About a year ago, he started experiencing pain in his abdomen and having digestive issues. Despite numerous tests and procedures, doctors were unable to locate a cause. In March of this year, he was rushed to the ER in extreme pain. He underwent gallbladder surgery, and when pathology was run, it was discovered that he has pancreatic cancer. His liver is only functioning at 10%.

In the midst of all this, his place of employment moved states, and he was let go. He had begun work at a logging business but had to quit because of the rapid onset of illness. Unfortunately, there is now no income coming into his home because his wife had to quit her job to be home with him. Kelly and I visited them in June. Zack will tell you, he feels rough, but he's ready to fight this. He is only 40 years old and has three kids ages 14 and under. He wants to be around to watch them grow up. Currently, he is in a holding pattern for a transplant and cancer treatment. His liver levels need to calm a bit before doctors can proceed. The immediate need is financial. His amazing wife, Jessica, is doing all she can to keep the family afloat, but times are very difficult right now.
