Support Woody’s Recovery
My name is Alex O’Connor, and for the past 25 years, Woody Wormwood has been more than my stepdad—he’s been my mentor, my friend, and the person who sparked my lifelong love of racing.
Woody has worked hard his entire life in the trades, but years of physically demanding concrete work have left lasting impacts on his health. He now faces degenerative disc disease, chronic pain, and severe nerve impingement.
On August 13, his body succumbed to his chronic pain. Woody underwent major neck surgery to fuse vertebrae at C3 and C4 on August 14th. The surgery was necessary to preserve his mobility and help restore his balance, but the recovery process is long and difficult as he is still in the hospital. He will need an extended rehab stay and rigorous physical therapy to heal properly.
During this time, Woody is unable to work. As you can imagine, this creates not only physical but also financial challenges. Your support will go directly toward covering his medical expenses and helping with day-to-day needs while he focuses on recovery.
Woody has always been the kind of person to show up for others, and now it’s our turn to be there for him. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping him heal and get back on his feet.
Thank you for considering a contribution and for keeping Woody in your thoughts and prayers during this important time of recovery. ❤️
