UPDATE!!!!

TINA is home from the hospital!!! As exciting as this seems, it is a little bit of a tricky situation. As they postponed the (said emergency ) surgery date to remove gallbladder! The team of doctors, although very kind and amazing are not totally sure what is all going on……

So for the extended future, she is basically on bedrest and to follow all schedules, meds and expectations that she was doing while at the hospital. They are letting her go home with the expectation that she can get some rest, relaxation and lower her stress levels for a smoother operation and a more successful recovery time.

However, this chapter in Tina’s life is far from

over. Tina will still be having multiple doctor appointments, tests and a surgery as this journey continues! So PLEASE continue the prayers, thoughts, positive vibes and energy!

Hello friends and family,

I'm reaching out to ask for support for my sister, Tina, who is currently hospitalized at Kadlec Medical Center. She’s been there since July 21st, and her condition remains serious and uncertain.

This frightening journey began on Friday, July 18th, when Tina went to the ER after weeks of off-and-on stomach issues. Like many of us, she brushed it off—hoping it would pass. At that first ER visit, doctors diagnosed her with dehydration and mild malnourishment, gave her IV fluids, and sent her home.

Unfortunately, her condition quickly worsened over the weekend. The pain in her abdomen and chest became unbearable, and she was no longer able to eat, breathe fully, or sit up due to the intense discomfort and pressure in her body.

Tina returned to the ER, where she spent hours waiting in a hallway, growing increasingly unstable. Still unable to hold anything down or get relief, the staff eventually moved her to a small room. They decided she needed to be transferred to another hospital due to lack of space and uncertainty about what was happening to her body.

After a stressful day and a half of delays and cancellations, an ambulance finally transported her on a long, uncomfortable ride to Tri-Cities.

Once admitted at Kadlec Medical Center, the team jumped into action. Tina was severely dehydrated, malnourished, low on essential vitamins and electrolytes, and unable to stabilize her enzyme levels. She was immediately started on IV fluids filled with magnesium, potassium, vitamins, and pain medications to try to stabilize her system.

Now, over two weeks later, Tina is still fighting.

Her body remains unable to keep her electrolytes and enzyme levels stable. She recently underwent a biopsy, and doctors believe a virus may be affecting her organs. They are also exploring the possibility of an autoimmune disease causing widespread internal inflammation.

At one point, Tina was beginning to improve, and there was hope she could go home. But shortly after reducing her medications and introducing solid food, her condition quickly declined again, forcing doctors to act fast.

As of August 5th, Tina remains hospitalized. The medical bills are piling up, and she is currently unemployed, with no clear timeline for discharge.

She has undergone countless tests—CT scans, X-rays, bloodwork (at one point, 11 vials in a single day!)—and while her GI doctor has been somewhat helpful, there are still more questions than answers.

We’re doing everything we can to support Tina emotionally, but now we need help financially. She faces a long recovery, and the stress of hospital bills and regular expenses like rent, utilities, and essentials is becoming overwhelming.
