On behalf of The Priebe Family, the 2019 Durham Mustangs have started this GoFundMe to support our awesome teammate Everett, Coach Chris, Mom Sara, and his little sister Bianca.

Everett is facing the toughest challenge of his young life. He has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare and serious condition in which his bone marrow no longer produces enough blood cells. This diagnosis is something Everett developed, not something he was born with. SickKids sees only four to five children per year with this diagnosis. Everett has been relying on weekly blood and platelet transfusions to keep him strong enough for treatment.

After months of testing and treatments, doctors have decided that the best path forward is for Everett to undergo immune suppression therapy and a bone marrow transplant. Everett’s little sister, Bianca, will be his hero donor.

During this time Everett along with his parents will be spending at least a month at SickKids Hospital, followed by recovery.

As parents, Chris & Sara’s main priority is being by his side every step of the way — through every test, every procedure, and every long night. Unfortunately, this also means taking time away from work and facing unexpected expenses for travel, meals, parking, and time off.

We’re asking for support to help cover these living and hospital-related expenses so Chris & Sara can focus completely on helping Everett heal.
