Rally for the Kolinek Family

Donation protected
Hello to all of the Kolinek’s family, friends, community members both near and
far, prayer warriors, and anyone else who has followed Curtis’s journey since his first stroke on February 12, 2023. As many of you know, Curtis was living his best life with Michele and their 6-year-old son, Dominic. From February 12th to the present, Curtis has suffered from blood clots and multiple embolic strokes. He has had four ambulance trips to the hospital. The strokes have caused serious impairment of Curtis’s vision along with other deficits. On March 16th the root cause of the blood clots and strokes was found to be Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. Curtis has a rare form of cancer that happens in non-smokers. In a very short time frame, Curtis’s life has become doctor appointments, MRIs, PET Scans, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications.

For all of us who know Curtis, we can appreciate his positive fighting attitude,
hilarious stories, ability to counsel others, unbelievable courage, true zest for life, passion for Christ, and his love for his family. His battle is far from over, and with every obstacle he faces he still has victories to be won.

The entire Kolinek family has greatly appreciated all those who have reached out
and supported them in a million different ways. The time has come when we all
need to RALLY and help them with funding for medical bills and private home care for Curtis. Michele has been Dominic and Curtis’s primary caregiver since his first stroke and while humbled and reluctant to start a Go Fund Me, it is necessary for her to get some help, especially as Dominic will soon be on summer break from school. Michele was fortunate enough to get a leave of absence from her teaching position through June, but will need to return to work full-time in August.

Daily home care is very expensive and not covered by insurance. Curtis needs daily
assistance with bathing, dressing, medication schedules, meals, and
the numerous other tasks that cancer and his strokes have made
impossible on his own. With the help of all of us, we can ease their financial
burden.

The Kolineks are amazing people. They are humble, kind, giving, passionate and
now they need our support. Please contribute whatever you can afford to help
them provide the additional care Curtis needs. He and the entire family greatly
appreciate all of the support they have received. Curtis will not be giving up his
battle!!!
