Help Mark Give Sushi the Surgery She Needs

Hello friends , family , dog moms and dads , we are friends of Mark Walcott a fellow dog dad . We’ve decided to start this fundraiser for him and his beloved English Bulldog, Sushi—a familiar and joyful face to many here in the San Fernando Valley. You might have spotted them at Laurel Tavern enjoying their delicious menu ,wonderful staff and loyal regulars. Or Val Surf Sushis favorite retail store.

Their Story:

If you're in the Valley, you’ve probably met Sushi. For the last five years, she has gone everywhere with Mark, her dad found her off Craigslist about 5 years ago and from the very first day they met , Sushi became his world. She is not just a pet to him; she is his constant companion, his comfort, and his family. Their special bond is evident to anyone who sees them together.

The Urgent Need:

Recently, Sushi was diagnosed with a mammary tumor. Her veterinarian has been clear: she needs surgery immediately. This procedure is time-sensitive and non-negotiable for her health and well-being. Mark would do absolutely anything for her, but the reality is that the full cost of this critical treatment is more than he can manage on his own right now.

A Call for Community Support:

Asking for help does not come easily to Mark, but Sushi depends on him. He is determined to do everything possible to give her the care she needs and deserves. That’s why we are reaching out on his behalf.

We are calling on our wonderful community—friends, neighbors, and fellow animal lovers—to rally around this incredible pair. Let’s come together to ensure Sushi gets this life-saving surgery without delay.
