Rally for Steve's Healing and Recovery Burden

Hi everyone! I'm Dana, Steve's wife. On March 13th, Steve was feeding our dogs while I was out of town at a Christian ministry weekend for ladies. The four dogs were excited about dinner time, and our two females got into a fight. While trying to break up the dog fight, Steve was bitten in the face pretty badly. Usually, he's the guy who super glues his wounds and keeps going. However, due to the massive loss of blood and fear of blacking out, he called 911 to transport him to the hospital.

He was transported to a trauma center where he was put on the list for immediate surgery. However, even the trauma surgeon was not confident and had to call in a private outside plastic surgeon. Friday morning, he had a 2-hour surgery with 3 doctors to reattach, repair, and close up all the external damage that occurred.

Unfortunately, his face and neck were not the only body parts affected. Steve suffered a rip in his left tricep, forearm, wrist, and hand - down to the fingertips. He currently has 2 broken fingers, stitches, and staples in his left arm, as well as a few minor punctures in the right hand and wrist.

First and foremost, we are beyond grateful that this injury was not worse. So many vital parts were missed by millimeters, such as the carotid artery and his trachea. So praise God for his protection! Secondly, while he was VERY concerned about his magnificent beard being shaved off, he is still just as handsome without it.

Unfortunately, our first bill arrived the DAY we got home from the hospital - at $40,000. Since then, $40,000 more has been racked up from this devastating trauma. As if the first bill was not shocking enough, we are sickened to be in a position to have to ask for help. However, we would really appreciate any help, generosity and prayers.
