Donation protected
Sheana Davis, Sonoma County chef and owner of Epicurean Connection has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Sheana has been a longtime volunteer and supporter of many humanitarian causes. Now she needs our support to help pay for both her medical and personal expenses while she goes through chemotherapy and radiation and for the months following as she recovers. Sheana’s husband Ben and her daughter Karina will be holding down the fort at The Epicurean Connection.
Sheana has dedicated countless hours to serving those in need and has been a catalyst for positive change in Sonoma Valley.
In the wake of the devastating fires, Sheana took the initiative to establish the No Pay Café, a remarkable project that provided services that required no exchange, no IDs and no payment from any of its recipients. This program provided essential nourishment for 220,00 meals to many individuals and families affected by the disaster, showcasing Sheana's ability to identify pressing needs and mobilize resources effectively.
Moreover, Sheana is a co-founder of the Valley of the Moon AIDS Project, where she has played an instrumental role in raising awareness and support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Her commitment to this cause was further exemplified when she hosted the AIDS Quilt, a powerful symbol of remembrance and advocacy that brought our community together in solidarity.
In addition to her work with health initiatives, Sheana has been a vibrant force within the arts community. Her involvement with the Queer Art Club has created a safe space for artists to express themselves and connect with others. Sheana is also passionate about empowering our youth, exemplified by her volunteer coaching of soccer for her daughter’s team and her efforts to host youth music shows at the Sonoma Community Center.
Sheana's commitment to education is evident through her past roles as a board member of both the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce. In these positions, she advocated for quality education and economic development, emphasizing the importance of investing in our community's future.
Her dedication does not stop there; she has trained homeless individuals in job skills, giving them the tools necessary to rebuild their lives and pursue new opportunities. Sheana's efforts have truly made a difference in the lives of many, and her founding of Sonoma Slate Park exemplifies her commitment to creating spaces for community engagement and recreation.
Moreover, her work with the Mentoring Alliance demonstrates her passion for guiding and nurturing the next generation. Sheana's unwavering spirit and tireless efforts to uplift those around her are a testament to her character and dedication.
In summary, Sheana is a remarkable individual whose volunteer work has left an indelible mark on our community.
