Shane needs a little help from his friends. I think we could all rally and he could get the care he needs for his teeth.

If even a handful of people wrote how Shane has inspired them or sees the true golden spirit he has or feels the goodness and lightness he gives by just being-- Sappy but true!

The amount of laughs and smiles he has created with his coolness, it's literally the biggest given that he deserves this!

First off, I want to thank Chunny for setting this up and everyone's comments and suggestions urging me to even allow this to happen.

The shared stories of your own GoFundMe's and how, it's "Not a trauma contest" ( quote from one of my cancer survivng friends ) when I protested recieving financial aid ( citing how I know people with cancer & I'm just stuck eating mashed potatoes ) & Lastly, my friend who reminded me that the system doesnt really take care of us like it should and how it's up to us as a community to look out for one another: That really hit home.

So as You probably know, a month or so ago, I had major Oral Surgery.

My health was in serious decline over the last 5-6 years so I simply could not put it off any longer, I had chronic fatigue so bad I started missing work every week & I was afraid to fall asleep on my back for fear of not waking up due to lack of breathing from sleep apnea.

During which 12 terminal teeth were removed. My health has improved from all the infection being gone but I have been left unable to eat solid food or chew really ever since.

I got one denture made as a temporary solution that should be coming in a couple weeks, but I could not afford the other one as my budget has simply run out.

I used the money my step dad left me after he passed to get the procedure done and as much else as I could, but that was also my security & now it is all but gone. I can no longer rationalize affording my storage unit due to the costs of dental care.

I will be okay, but the house of cards that is my remaining teeth is far from done. I'm stable for now. There's a few still on the fence, my bite needs realigning and I have a constant pain from any movement in both my ear and jaw, it's not fun.

There's also the unknown of what path to take ( largely dependent on budget ) but also: it's a major life choice.

A full permanent mouth restoration is between 30,000 and 50,000 dollars ( I was quoted at 40,000 ) This is known as an All In Four procedure. There's also snap on dentures that are less ( still very expensive ) but both proceedures involve removing your remaining teeth ( I have 17 left ) and that's a big choice.

That's ridiculous money I know, but I would probably spend it in a heartbeat to fix my teeth & my dentist says for even for a fraction of that, I could much better my current situation by doing my best to keep my remaining teeth over time by using a mix of implants and partials, but again-- that's going to cost thousands of dollars.

I can't wait to smile ( and chew solid food ) again, so literally anything by way of help would be fantastic!

Just know that ANY money I get will be spent on covering dental costs incurred as of July 17th, 2025 to current. I will be completely transparent what any funding is covering.

I didn't want to really do this but with everyone is telling me it's ok to ask for help. I have to tell you why it's so hard: I am so lucky. I know this.

I may have grown up poor or whatever, but I have been a millionaire because of this community, because of YOU. There's not one day that goes by I'm not grateful and am always humbled by the amount of support You all have shown me over the years. Not just letting me, but encouraging me, to live my dream as a skateboarder and supporting me, my passions and projects-- I can't ever ask for anything more.
