At just 19 years old, Selainy recently went in for what was supposed to be a routine procedure to remove a lump. During surgery, doctors found a second lump and tested it. It came back positive for cancer.

This heartbreaking news has turned life upside down for Selainy and the Lira family.

If you’re from the Johnsburg community, you likely know Selainy and her mom, Lupe. The Lira family has always been active, generous, and giving—showing up to help others, volunteering their time, and supporting the community without hesitation.

Now it’s our turn to support them.

We’re raising funds to help cover the many expenses that come with a diagnosis like this—medical bills, travel for treatment, lost wages, and more. No 19-year-old should have to face something this serious, and no family should have to do it alone.
