Please Help My Son Save Dexter

Hi everyone, I am posting this in the hopes of helping my son Santino raise funds to save his cat Dexter. My son has a profound hearing loss and lives alone. Dexter is full of love and personality (even while sick) and is a constant source of support for Santino. Dexter has been a great buddy for the past three years after Santino unexpectedly lost his previous cat Reno to cancer. Losing Dexter so soon after the loss of Reno would be extremely hard for him.

Dexter is currently in a small animal hospital in the ICU. Despite being at two different hospitals and having constant care for the past 5 days, he still needs more tests and possibly surgery. He is having a sedated CT scan today. My son is running out of funds and we have exhausted our ability to help due to numerous commitments within our large blended family. Santino works hard to get ahead with a full-time tech industry job and a part-time job working for Door Dash. This has been a huge setback for him already. My momma heart truly hurts for him and with him.

I'm hoping and praying this community can rally around Santino and Dexter and help us continue to get the care that Dexter needs. We believe he has a treatable condition and no other major health complications. I will continue to provide updates as his treatment progresses. Any support, no matter how small, and prayers for both of them would be a great blessing!

UPDATE 6/10: Dexter is remaining stable. His CT scan ruled out many things and did not show any concerns. He will have a sedated procedure today at noon that we are hoping will fix the problem so he can come home soon.
