Rally for Ryleigh: Fighting Liver Failure
Donation protected
Ryleigh was diagnosed with a rare liver condition, Wilson’s Disease, in 2013. She has since been getting medical treatment and changing her lifestyle to stay healthy and happy.
The problem with Wilson’s Disease is that it can unexpectedly and very rapidly worsen- this has unfortunately happened to Ryleigh.
As this new year came in, Ryleigh started to get very sick. She has been admitted into the hospital getting various procedures and testing done to figure out what’s happening.
The doctors have determined Ryleigh, at just 23 years old, has gone into liver failure.
The medical providers are continuing to perform tests, procedures, and taking the steps necessary to prepare her for a liver transplant.
At this time, we are unsure how long she will be admitted, when a liver will be match, how long she will be out of work, or the medical expenses involved.
We do know that after the transplant she will need to be on multiple medications for the rest of her life, have continual follow up with a team of providers, and move into a family members house for aftercare.
This is a lot for anyone to go through. We hope with your help that we can lessen these financial difficulties (known and unknown) so that Ryleigh can focus on her health instead of how bills will be taken care of.
We want to thank you all in advance for your time and any donations.
As times are hard for us all, if you could please share this GoFundMe, that is greatly appreciated too.
