As most of you know, my Dad, Rory Hutchinson, was diagnosed with a rare disease called Amyloidosis in 2016. With the incredible help of the medical professionals at Wentworth Douglass Hospital Cancer Center and Tufts Medical Center, he underwent an SCT (stem cell transplant) in August of 2016. The road leading up to now has not been easy and sure has had its bumps, but he and my mother, Tracy, found their new type of normal.

Just a few months ago, after some routine testing, they found that Amyloidosis was starting to rear its ugly head once again. It was decided at that time that he was to start chemotherapy once again as soon as he possibly could. Christmas time rolled around, and the chemotherapy began. As I’m sure you know, chemo takes its toll!

For the last 9 years, while learning to live with and manage his Amyloidosis, my father has been unable to work, and my mother has been the sole provider. With chemotherapy taking up multiple days of the week, my mother has not been able to work her full-time schedule due to the constant doctor's appointments. The idea of a GoFundMe was brought up to me in hopes that it could help relieve some of the financial burden they are experiencing while he continues his chemo. With the blessing of my parents, I created this in hopes that we could find a way to rally together and show them support.

He will continue to undergo chemo through May, and we pray and believe that following this round of chemo, they will see positive results. Of course, any little thing will help, but we also ask for all the thoughts and prayers while they continue to travel this long road. With the most grateful hearts, we say thank you so much for your help as well as your continued prayers and support. I know my parents are extremely humbled and grateful!
