On Sunday, our dad, Ron, suffered a massive stroke. He is currently in the ICU at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI, and will remain hospitalized for some time as he fights to recover.

Ron is a proud Vietnam Veteran and the owner of Old Glory MI in Gaylord, where he has poured his heart and dedication into the Veteran community alongside his wife, Heidi.

The road ahead will be long and uncertain. Heidi has stepped into the role of full-time caregiver, taking an extended leave of absence from her job. She will be commuting regularly between Gaylord and Traverse City to be by Ron’s side. This sudden medical crisis brings not only emotional and physical challenges, but also financial strain.

We are asking for support to help ease this burden—whether it’s to cover travel expenses, medical costs, or day-to-day needs—so Heidi can focus fully on Ron’s care without the added stress of financial hardship.
