What do you do when life hands you two cancer battles in two years? You rally for Ron Swanby.

Ron Swanby, a beloved local business owner, the man behind one of the Tri-Cities’ favorite BBQ joints, Swampy’s BBQ Sauce & Catering, and a longtime supporter of our community, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024. After a successful surgery, he was “cured” and recovering as expected when a routine first colonoscopy brought devastating news: Stage 2 rectal cancer. That diagnosis came six months ago. Today, Ron is in the fight of his life, undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. In Ron’s words, “It’s been brutal.” Ron has spent years feeding this community and giving back to it. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

While his treatment is slated to finish late this fall, we’re establishing a GoFundMe campaign called Rally for Ron from September 1-October 5, 2026. This campaign aims to cover three areas:
