​"If you live in Idyllwild, you know Ron Pasch. He is the smiling face we see every week at our local transfer station—the man who makes a chore feel like a visit with a neighbor. Whether he’s helping with a heavy load or just sharing a laugh, Ron always goes the extra mile for us.

​Over the years, our community has shown Ron how much we appreciate him, whether it was dropping off a cold drink on a hot day or bringing him a shake or lunch from town just to say thanks. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

​Ron was involved in a serious accident and is currently in the ICU. He is facing major emergency surgery tomorrow and a very long, difficult recovery ahead that will keep him out of work for months.

​While Ron is a dedicated employee, a crisis of this scale brings an overwhelming financial burden. He is facing roughly a $10,000 medical out-of-pocket cost after insurance, and without his regular paycheck, the everyday bills for him and his wife, Sheila, will be a mountain of their own.
