Rally for Riley Woods
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m Stacey and Riley and my son Jace are great friends….we want to help show our support and help raise money to provide Riley’s family with even a little relief as they continue this fight. we want them to know they aren’t alone in this battle….let’s Rally for Riley!!
heres Riley’s story…
Riley woods, a senior at Alexander High School was diagnosed with a ‘germ cell tumor’ of the brain after an eye doctor appointment in May showed something out of the ordinary causing Riley to start losing his vision. He was flown to the Children’s hospital in Minnesota where he underwent emergency surgery to remove as much of the brain mass as possible and get a long term treatment plan in place with his amazing drs and surgeons.
Over the last few months, with his mom Rachel Crooke by his side, Riley has underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy, made several trips to the children’s hospital in Minnesota for MRIs, check ups, scans and other medical appointments, All of which have taken their toll on Riley and his family.
On October 15th they travel yet again for surgery to remove anything left of the tumor and then continue on to 5 weeks of radiation. Riley has been so strong! He is a fighter, a young warrior, a wonderful friend, an amazing brother to his 1-1/2 year old sister and has stayed positive through all of this, since day one! His family and friends couldn’t be more proud of him. All of them continue to show their support as he continues treatment.
A silent auction and free will dinner will be held in Alexander in December. More information to follow for that. Also, an account for monetary donations has been set up at 1st International Bank & Trust under ‘Benefit for Riley Woods’.
