On behalf of my mom, her sisters, and their older brother, I am organizing this GoFundMe to honor the memory of their youngest brother, Otis Richard Chappell, known as Ricky or Rex. Ricky passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 2nd, due to a heart attack.

Ricky was a vibrant presence in our lives—always the life of the party, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. To know Ricky was to love him.

As he was unmarried and had no children, the responsibility of his final arrangements falls on his elderly siblings, all of whom are on limited incomes. Ricky was on disability and did not have life insurance, leaving the family unprepared for the financial burden of funeral expenses.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and the community to help us provide Ricky with a proper service and allow his loved ones to say their goodbyes without the added stress of financial strain. Your contributions, no matter how small, will make a difference and are deeply appreciated.
