Rally for Renee: Medical and Living Expenses
Donation protected
Sometimes the perfect storm comes into your life and help from your community is the only way to navigate through. Renee is the owner and literal heart and hands of The Peppered Vine in Sandy, UT. She is a single mother of three boys and supports them through her incredible talent and hard work in the kitchen.
An unfortunate accident occurred in her professional kitchen on Saturday, 5/10, rendering her dominant hand unusable. Her entire method of supporting her family has come to a halt, and she needs our help. Renee does not have health insurance, and the medical bills for the ER visit, surgery, and future physical therapy will add up fast. Funds will be used for medical bills and living expenses until she can re-open the restaurant.
The Peppered Vine opened just 16 months ago, built on the foundation of passion, hard work, and personal sacrifice. Like many small businesses, it began with significant financial risk, long hours, and the understanding that profitability takes time. For restaurants like Renee’s —operating with perishable inventory and razor-thin margins—even a single day of closure can be a serious setback. Yet in that short time, The Peppered Vine has become a beloved part of the Sandy community, offering more than just food. It’s a place that truly lives its motto: Eat Well. Live Purposefully. Love More.
