Rally for Renee!

Renee is a 53 yr old devoted, single mom to her 3 children and Gigi to her 5

grandchildren, her newest grandson born just 4 months ago. Renee has lived &

raised her family in Oregon IL for the last 30 years. She has worked in Social

Services, assisting residents of Ogle County in different capacities for the last 15

years. She is also a board member on the Ogle County 708 Mental Health Board

since 2019. On May 21 st of this year she received the news that she has Stage 3B

Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. This was devasting to not only her, but

her family. Her medical team quickly put into place a treatment plan that started

with 24 weeks of chemotherapy, then surgery and radiation therapy. Currently

Renee has undergone her first 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and her second round

will start in Sept. Renee has tried to maintain her work schedule, but due to the

side effects of her ongoing chemotherapy, she has had to reduce her work hours.

This, along with mounting medical bills has created a financial hardship for her

and her family. Currently her medical bills are almost $500,000 with

approximately 7 more months of treatment planned.
