Rally for Rene: Hospital and Recovery

My mom, Rene has been in and out of the hospital/ICU for the past few weeks. On Easter Sunday, Mom was rushed to the ER and then the ICU due to extremely low sodium levels. After a few day in the ICU and a few days in general care, she was cleared to go home that Friday. Unfortunately, after a week of home care from my dad and I, she was rushed back to the hospital. We now know that the low sodium levels have caused CPM (swelling in the pons part of her brain), restricting her ability to move her body.

At this point, it’s a waiting game while she receives treatment and support. Her team at the ICU have been amazing and we hope for a full recovery.
