Hello family and friends,
I am starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to offset the cost of rehabilitation for Margurite (Elaine Cooper) McDermott. Margurite (Elaine) who currently resides in Jamaica suffered a massive stroke on June 12 and has been in hospitalized ever since. She is currently in a quadriplegic state but is clinically stable and requires considerable amount of therapy to walk, talk and perform other functions. She has done some physiotherapy whilst being hospitalized and though progress is slow, she has moved both arms on separate occasions, moved her neck, tracks people around the room with her eyes and is currently blinking to communicate with those around her. If given the opportunity to receive the right therapy, she will be on her road to recovery and leading a normal life. I am determined to assist her in her recovery process and in doing so I am soliciting your kind contribution towards rehabilitation costs.
On behalf of Margurite and the rest of the family I’d like to express my sincere appreciation for all the prayers, love and support you’ve given us throughout these past five and a half weeks and undoubtedly in the weeks and months to come. Your contribution will assist greatly in helping her regain her speech, mobility, and quality of life.
For those in Jamaica without cards who requested a local account to contribute please use Jamaica National A/C # 10056631 which is in my name and through which the funds will be paid over.
Thank you in advance for what you will be able to give, every little bit helps.
