Rally for Reeve - Help a Teacher, Husband, Father and Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news that our dear friend, colleague, and beloved teacher, Reeve Hartman, has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Reeve is facing the fight of his life.

For 28 years, Reeve has been a pillar in the Irvine Unified School District, inspiring thousands of students as a World History teacher, and creating a classroom where every student feels welcome, valued, and excited to learn. Former students often return years later, remembering that history was fun, because of their time in his classroom.

Reeve is a devoted husband to Alison and proud father of five incredible children. He has supported his family of seven on a single teacher’s salary. He has spent countless hours not just teaching, but coaching his kids, attending games, and leading with kindness, humor, and humility.

Reeve was named Teacher of the Year at South Lake Middle School, has served on district committees, and shaped lives inside and outside the classroom. Now, it is our turn to lift Reeve up and his family.
