Help Julian Recover After a Hit-and-Run

On the night of Friday October 3, around 10:52 PM in Los Angeles, my brother Julian was struck by a car in a devastating hit-and-run. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to treat his injuries.

Julian sustained serious head trauma, multiple fractured bones, and other injuries that will require a long and careful recovery. For several days, he was in the ICU and unable to contact his family. Those days were some of the most terrifying of our lives as we searched for him, not knowing what had happened. Thankfully, he was able to reach us, and our mother immediately flew out to be by his side.

Right now, Julian is stable and receiving incredible care, but his recovery journey is far from over. He will need ongoing rehabilitation, physical therapy, and additional medical support to fully heal and regain his strength.

As his sister, I wish more than anything that I could take away his pain or wave a magic wand to make this easier. Since I can’t, I’m doing what I can — using my words to share his story and ask for help from our community, friends, and anyone moved by his story.
