Rally for Rebekah: A Testament of Faith and Healing

If you know Rebekah, you know she’s always been called the “Bounce-Back Girl.” No matter what life throws her way, she faces it with resilience, faith, and an unshakable spirit. She often says, “The harder the fall, the greater the bounce when you know Jesus.” You truly can’t keep a good woman down.

From the end of June until the end of September, Rebekah faced the biggest battle of her life — and she is forever grateful to all who supported her in prayer. She felt and witnessed the impact of those prayers. Thank you to everyone who stood beside her through this critical time.

Rebekah and I have been friends for over 35 years. We started a young women’s prayer ministry before we even learned how to drive. Over the years, nothing has changed about Rebekah’s unwavering faith. Whenever a trial has tried to shatter her or her faith, an even greater breakthrough and fortitude have risen from her life.

During the first week of September, Rebekah was admitted to the ICU with septic kidney issues. She endured several days there, receiving dialysis treatments and blood transfusions just to stabilize her body. She also suffered unbearable glute pain, which was later discovered to be caused by a mass in her pelvic area. Weeks earlier, her left leg had swollen so severely that she could no longer walk.

This sudden, overwhelming storm that ripped through Rebekah’s life would have shattered most of us — but not Rebekah. Even in such a critical condition, and even though she was admitted just in time, she never wavered in her belief that God was by her side and would carry her through the storm.

Mary and I flew to see Rebekah in the hospital and witnessed her unshakable faith — not just for herself, but for many others. As her body miraculously strengthened day after day, she shared her faith with doctors, nurses, and fellow patients.
Doctors discovered that an obstruction had caused her kidney sepsis. After removing the obstruction, her kidneys bounced back within days. They are now functioning normally. Many were inspired by Rebekah’s ability to recover from something that seemed impossible. Thank you, Jesus!

A couple of weeks later, toward the end of her hospital stay, the severe nerve pain and swelling in her left leg disappeared completely. One morning, a woman of faith working in the hospital prayed and believed with Rebekah that she would walk. Not even thirty minutes later, Rebekah stood up from her wheelchair — and she has been walking ever since. Thank you, Jesus!

The glute pain, caused by the mass in her pelvic area, began dissolving day by day. By the time she left the hospital, all pain in her body was gone. As of today, Rebekah is pain-free and experiencing no negative symptoms. Thank you, Jesus!
Rebekah’s life has inspired so many of us to believe in the power of prayer and to hold unwavering faith, no matter the cost. As we all know, the life of a believer isn’t promised to be easy. He says, “Pick up your cross and follow Me.” In this life, there will be suffering — but He promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Rebekah spent three weeks in the hospital. She was unable to work and is now facing mounting medical costs. Those of us who love her want her to focus on rest, not on bills. This is where we all come in — her church, friends, community, and family.

I’m sharing this with all who know Rebekah, and even with those who don’t but have been inspired by her testimony. I’m asking that we rally around her with love and generosity, showing her how deeply she is loved.

Every donation — big or small — will help lift the burden of her expenses and support her through this time. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing love through action.

She asked me to share this statement of faith with you: Whatever negative report you may be facing today, always choose to believe the report of the Lord. His promises over your life ARE the final word. What was meant to take her out, became her greatest breakthrough - Without a doubt! Thank you again for standing with her and for sticking beside her. Your love and support mean more than words can express.
