Rally for Rebecca's Recovery Journey

Dear Friends and Family,

Our dear friend and treasured loved one, Rebecca Carey, is going through a difficult time and could use our help. Recently, Rebecca received news that she has a recurrence of breast cancer and will need to have surgery in the very near future. The surgery itself will be extensive and will require several weeks of recovery time. During this time, Rebecca will lose needed income, and she will also require help with household matters such as meal prep, cleaning, running errands, etc.

There are many ways that her community can come together to support Rebecca at this time. First, please consider sharing and giving to this Go Fund Me fundraiser to help offset lost income and to support the costs of travel between Belfast and Southern Maine for medical appointments, medical copays, and other unexpected costs.

Second, notes of support, as well as gas, grocery, or restaurant gift cards may be sent directly to Rebecca at 375 High Street, Belfast, ME 04915. A suggested list of local vendors includes: Front Street Pub, Darby's Restaurant, Laan Xang Cafe, Belfast Coop and Satori.

Third, if you live locally and would be able to schedule a shift to stop by and visit and help Rebecca with whatever tasks may be needed, a communication will be circulated where you will be able to sign up for a selected date and time following her surgery.

Finally, whatever you do to generate positive wishes and healing energy, please send some of that Rebecca’s way. She is maintaining a very healthy outlook and is doing her best to ready herself for what is to come. Nevertheless, keeping her in your thoughts and in your heart would be so appreciated and would provide Rebecca the additional support and encouragement that she needs at this time.
