Rally for Phoebe's Pediatric Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Please let’s come together to help our sweet friends, the King family – Vinnie, Alli, and their 18-month-old baby girl, Phoebe.
On Wednesday morning, February 12th, Phoebe woke up extra early. Her mom, Alli, noticed Phoebe was very fussy and her right arm seemed awkward. They fell asleep again together, and when Phoebe awoke the second time, Alli again noticed her right arm was heavy, as well as Phoebe’s lack of ability to stand up. Vinnie was out of town in Kentucky for work. Alli took Phoebe to her pediatrician, who advised they go to the Memorial Children’s Hospital Emergency Room immediately.
Phoebe was admitted to the Children’s Hospital, and numerous tests were run. An MRI revealed Phoebe had suffered a pediatric stroke. Phoebe’s right side from her shoulder down is immobile. They were admitted to the CHOA (Children’s Hospital of Atlanta) for extended, immersive inpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy. They have now returned back to Savannah to continue outpatient therapy at Memorial Children’s Hospital.
While Vinnie and Alli are both employed and will return to work, as one would imagine, they cannot work currently. All of their time and focus are on Phoebe’s needs and health. Fortunately, the King’s village is LARGE! They are loved and supported by so many! Please let’s rally around this precious family and help them while they navigate this unfamiliar territory.
