We are the Mount Pleasant Football Boosters, grades 7-12, and we are asking for help for a family in our organization. Our football team and boosters are family, and a big part of the community, so we rally around those in need.
The Pease family have been committed members of, not only our organization, but many other sports communities in the area, for many years. Starting with midget football, little league, basketball, and now high school sports, the Pease's have always been there to volunteer or lend a hand. It's their turn now to receive help.
In March of 2025, during one of the junior high baseball practices, Peyton, one of the catchers, shattered his knee. Due to this injury, he had to sit out most of the baseball season. At the end of April, with 3 games left in the season, he had his final appointment to get cleared to return to play. The X-ray, however, showed nodes behind his kneecap. This discovery led to bloodwork and other tests. On May 16th, Peyton went in for a bone marrow biopsy, which ultimately led to the diagnosis of Leukemia. Peyton's treatment plan involves weekly chemo injections for 6 weeks (started on 6/24), and then in mid-August, he is getting a stem cell transplant. After this, they are hoping for remission!
Peyton is going into 9th grade this year, and his older brother is a senior, their first year together for high school football. Peyton is missing his 1st year of JV football, but hopefully will be able to be on the sidelines for some games! He's excited to be included, as still being part of the team is important to him, while still managing his health.
Between two full-time working parents trying to make ends meet, three other children that still need care, treatments for Peyton, trips to children's hospital for testing, the Pease family has been stretched thin and could use our community's help getting them through this unimaginably scary time.
Whether it is through prayers or monetary donations, anything is appreciated.
