UPDATE ON PETER:

Peter, Trinita and their children are hopeful! Over the past six weeks, Peter has endured three surgeries on the wounds on his legs and feet, including skin grafts. They are hoping that they will not need to do anymore surgeries on his wounds but in a few weeks it should be more clear as to what may need to be done.

Over the next month or two or so, Peter will need to have at least two more kidney related surgeries as well. Presently, he is on dialysis three days a week.

UPDATE: Peter had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital the day after Christmas & is still there. He has taken a turn for the worse and is having complications from both his kidneys & the cellulitis. If you haven't already given, please consider making a gift today. Stand with Peter, Trinita, Kaila, Quinn, and Ellison

We have put together this GoFundMe to help with the medical expenses for Peter, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease and has a severe case of cellulitis on his legs and feet, causing excruciating pain, vomiting, and fainting. Peter is in the process of getting on the waitlist for a kidney transplant.

The financial strain on the family is immense. Trinita had to stop working at the end of June to take care of Peter full-time. Peter had successfully worked for a company where many of their employees worked from home; however, very recently, Peter was unexpectedly let go days before Christmas—pushing him out for not being able to come in three days a week.

To compound the situation, their only car broke down beyond repair in October. This has made it much more difficult to transport him and his wheelchair to treatments and appointments. Presently, they have been relying on Uber and friends, which is not sustainable.

To say that we are at a loss for words is indeed an understatement. For those who know Peter, his wife Trinita, and their children, Kaila, Quinn, and Ellison, you know that they are the first people to step up and lend a hand in times of need. Whether working with the homeless, mentoring kids, organizing fundraisers, or rallying support for a community cause, their hearts are always in the right place. Peter is a devoted family man, loyal friend, and a passionate advocate for his community.
