My friend Paulina was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and a brain tumor (Vestibular Schwannoma), which have caused significant hearing loss and other neurological symptoms. She is losing mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, and is suffering from impaired vision. Her health has taken a turn, and she now needs support and accommodations that her job is unable to provide.

Since her diagnosis, Paulina’s employer has not been meeting her accommodations and has reduced her hours. Even when she is scheduled, she often isn’t able to earn a living wage due to her ongoing medical appointments. Paulina should not have to work given the severity of her condition, but her caseworker, who was helping her apply for assistance, was recently laid off due to the shutdown. This has left her without support and in need of help from her community.

This fundraiser will help cover living expenses, transportation, and essentials while she focuses on her treatment and adapting to her new normal. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated.
