Beyond his raw talent and relentless work ethic, Nico is an exceptional student, balancing his academic and athletic pursuits with an unwavering commitment. But what truly sets him apart is his character. He is the first to lift others up, the one who always checks in, the one who lights up every room with his energy and kindness.

Nico has sacrificed more than most to be here. As an international student from Colombia, he left everything behind—his home, his family, his comfort—to chase his dreams of cheering at Weber State and earning an education. He has fought through obstacles, pushed through adversity, and poured his entire soul into this sport.

Today, in a heartbreaking moment at practice, that dream was put on hold. Nico suffered a devastating Achilles tear on a tumbling pass. In an instant, all the years of work, the hours in the gym, the sacrifices—gone. Tomorrow at noon, he will undergo major reconstructive surgery.

This road to recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. Being thousands of miles from home, he faces this battle without the comfort of family by his side.
