Rally for Nick: Help him beat Colon Cancer!

Hello! My name is Jaime. On January 29th, 2025, my younger brother, Nick Schulz, got some horrible news. He was battling stomach issues on and off for some time. It just never got better, so his doctor suggested he see a GI specialist and get a colonoscopy. The results were not what any of us were thinking...

They had discovered an extremely large mass in his colon. Yup, at 41 years old, he was going to be battling Stage 2 (possibly 3) Colon Cancer. Initial tests also show he has an irregular heartbeat.

Because of the size of the mass, he will need to have half of his colon removed. Then additional testing can be done to see what exact stage of cancer it is and what additional treatments will be needed.

Surgery is scheduled for March 12th, and he will be hospitalized for at least two weeks and will be out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks just from the surgery. Then time will tell with post-surgery treatments.

Nick and my sister-in-law, Katie (Schneider) Schulz, got married in August of 2019. They finally purchased their first home and are in the process of making it their own. When not working on their home, Nick spends lots of time helping others with their projects and side jobs. But most of all, he loves to hunt and teach both adults and kids the ropes of hunting and fishing. He will not stop till that kiddo gets his first deer or turkey.

They also take my kids every year to the annual Jakes Fishing event and teach them how to fish. His love for teaching and watching these kids' smiles brings him so much joy!

First off, we are asking for lots of prayers for Nick. Prayers for a successful surgery and outcome. Our family believes in the power of prayer, and the more prayers, the better.
