For those of you that know Mikaela, I can say with absolute certainty that you know of Nala. Her sweet little Pittie is her best friend, rock, and above all, each other's emotional support. This morning we rushed her to the animal hospital because she was barely responsive, could not stand on her own, and was extremely lethargic. All of the above is out of character for our silly and energetic girl.

The vet did bloodwork to find that her white blood cell count was off the charts, along with a fever of 105°F. It's unknown as to what is causing the infection happening in her body at this time, so they are keeping her at the hospital to get her fluids, medicine, and to run more tests to get to the bottom of this and save her.

The deposit alone to keep Nala for the day was $500, with the understanding that this will be multiple days.

I am asking you, from the bottom of my heart, to consider contributing any amount feasible to her bill. I know how rough it is for most of us with the economy right now, so sharing this post would mean the world to me! I will be using every dollar of what is received to go directly to Glenwood Pet Hospital.

Nala is more than a dog. She has been through absolutely everything with my sister. They are inseparable. They are a team. I cannot emphasize enough what she means to Mikaela and how they thrive together, nor could I fathom what a loss would do to her.
