My beautiful and amazing daughter is a precious gift with a heart full of love and a spirit that knows no bounds. At the age of 32, she was hit by a moving vehicle on the freeway in the state of Nevada on July 1st, 2025. She is currently in the trauma ICU, placed on a ventilator and fighting for her life. She has sustained a brain injury, broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, damage to the carotid artery, and the left side of her body is unresponsive. Additionally, she has a fractured spine, multiple bruises, and a ruptured spleen. My grandmother, who was a voice from the past and a role model in the present. Who loved her grandbaby Lay, and treated all her grandkids equally. As her first grandchild, I’ve learned through her example to stay strong and have faith when facing obstacles. She taught me that constant repetition leads to good habits. Lay is currently facing a long and difficult journey - including surgeries, time in intensive care, a possible tracheostomy, and extensive rehabilitation. Doctors are working hard to give her the best chance at recovery, but the path ahead is uncertain and full of challenges and Lay never dimmed her spirit. Right now, she needs all the support and love we can give her, and so do we as her family.

I created this fundraiser to help cover the growing costs of her care, including hospital bills, specialized equipment, therapy, and long-term needs we can't yet foresee. Every donation - no matter the size - helps lift a bit of the weight we're carrying.

I also want to express my gratitude. The strength within me is fueled by the support from my children, family, and friends as we navigate through this critical challenging time. More than anything, we ask for your prayers, your love, and your support as we fight for her healing.
