Words truly fail when I try to express what Mollee means to me—and to so many of us in the birth community. For over a decade—10, maybe 15 years—we’ve walked side by side into birthing rooms, witnessing the raw power, vulnerability, and beauty of life’s most sacred threshold. Through it all, Mollee has been unwavering: gentle, wise, grounding, and full of grace.
She has supported hundreds of families with her calm presence, deep care, and unshakable trust in the birthing process. If you’ve been lucky enough to have Mollee by your side, you know what a rare gift she is.
Now, our beloved friend and sister in birth is facing her own profound threshold.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mollee has made the incredibly difficult decision to stop treatment. She is choosing to spend her remaining time with her beloved husband and two children, Finn and Poppy—focusing on presence, peace, and love.
There is so much to hold, so many layers to this moment. Mollee and her family are navigating impossible emotions, complex logistics, and the desire to be together without the weight of financial stress.
This is where we come in.
Mollee has held space for so many of us—now it’s our turn to hold space for her.
I’m calling on the families she has so lovingly supported over the years to rally around her. Let’s show up with the same tenderness and strength she brought to each and every birth.
Your donation will help give Mollee and her family the gift of time—time free from worry, time to be together, time to prepare and grieve and cherish each other.
Please give what you can, and please share this with anyone whose life was touched by Mollee.
With gratitude,
Lea Ritter, LM
