Hi Cottage Grove! My name is Jennifer, and I am Mindy Beer’s (Joy) daughter. My brothers James, Josh and I are asking the community for help for our Mom at this time. Most of you know our beautiful Mother’s name and face all across this town. She has helped thousands of people over the years, and not just through Pay It Forward. I’ve never met a woman who has a bigger heart than she does, and I bet most of you haven't either. Through all these years of donating her time and money, and opening her home to solely help others in need, she has been silently battling her own health problems. She’s not one to burden anyone, or talk about her struggles ever.

At this time, our Mom is in the ICU facing serious medical complications. While she continues to fight with the same strength and grace she’s always shown, the medical and home bills are quickly becoming very overwhelming for her. Between hospital stays, specialized care, and ongoing treatment, the financial burden is something she cannot manage alone. Asking for help does not come easily to her, especially knowing how fiercely independent she is, but this is a time where she truly needs the community she has always shown up for.
