On around May 5th, 2025, Mike Cargill was unexpectedly blown off a ladder by a huge gust of wind while he was helping a friend with a housing project, causing him to fall backwards. Though he landed on his feet, he has broken his leg in a bad place, and surgery is not an option at this time. The doctors want him to heal as is first and then do physical therapy to strengthen his leg back to normal. If that fails, we are looking at him having a total knee replacement. He is currently on a non-weight-bearing restriction with a knee immobilizer and crutches.

Currently, we aren't sure when he will be able to return to work. He is looking at a long recovery road, with travels to Fargo and Minot for doctor's appointments. Bills are piling up, and he currently has no income coming in. To help relieve the stress, we are setting up this GoFundMe to ask for help to raise money for household bills, fuel, food, and any medical bills that may arise.
