Help Support Mike & Kathlyn Baker After a Tragic Accident

During Daytona Beach Bike Week, our dear friends, Mike and Kathlyn were struck by a drunk driver while riding their motorcycle. In an instant, their lives were changed forever.

Both Mike and Kathlyn suffered serious injuries — including broken backs, broken ribs, a broken foot, and severe road rash that has required extensive wound care and ongoing medical treatment. Tragically, the driver, responsible for the crash had no insurance, no assets and did not survive the accident, but still decided to drive drunk and nearly kill a husband and wife in the process.

Mike has proudly served our community for over 30 years in law enforcement — dedicating his life to protecting others, standing up for what’s right, and helping those in need. Now, it’s our turn to help him and his wife Kathlyn, as they face a long and difficult road to recovery.

Both will endure - months of healing and rehabilitation. While no amount of money can erase the pain and trauma they’ve experienced, we can come together to lighten the financial burden — from medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages, to the daily challenges of simply rebuilding their lives.

Anyone who knows Mike knows he’d never ask for help — call it pride or humility — but we can’t let them go through this alone. Let’s rally and show them how much they are loved and supported by their friends, family, and the community they’ve given so much to.
