Rally for Mel: Covering Surgery and Recovery Costs

Hi Friends!

Our dear Mel is getting total hip replacement surgery on Thursday, September 26, and she needs our help. We all know to what capacity Mel has been there for us throughout the years in this community, and now she is welcoming some helping hands. This is going to be a team effort.

After being on medical leave for over a year, depleting FMLA and other resources, and having only been back working for 6 months - what she does have doesn't come close to covering her costs. We are proposing starting at $10K to help cover the following for a couple months:

This is not just hip surgery, this is a HUGE life improvement plan. She is currently doing the best she can living with chronic illness and joint issues. However, even though she has a good attitude, these issues are having a domino effect in the rest of her life.
