In Memory of Meesha: Support for Her Family

My name is Harish, and I am writing this with a heavy heart as a close friend of the Verma family. I’m starting this fundraiser to humbly ask for your help for my dear friend Mukesh's 11-year-old daughter, Meesha, who is fighting for her life.

It is devastating to watch a family you care about go through an unimaginable crisis. Just a short while ago, Meesha was a bright and happy child, filling her home with laughter. Today, she lies in a critical condition in the ICU at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. Her small body is battling a catastrophic medical emergency.

Meesha has been diagnosed with Fulminant Hepatic Failure, which is a sudden and severe collapse of the liver. The hospital has confirmed her condition is critical; she is on a ventilator to help her breathe and continuous dialysis (CRRT) because this illness has also caused her kidneys to fail.

The doctors have been clear: Meesha's only chance of survival is an emergency living donor liver transplant. This surgery is her only hope to see another birthday.

I have known Mukesh and his family for years. They are hardworking, honest people who live a modest life, raising their two children within a family of seven. They have always faced life's challenges with resilience, but this crisis is beyond anything anyone could prepare for. They have already exhausted all their savings and resources in a desperate attempt to cover the mounting medical bills.

The hospital has provided an initial estimate of ₹25,00,000 (approximately $30,000 USD) for the transplant and initial care. However, the total cost, including the extensive post-operative treatment, critical medications, and management of any high-risk complications, is projected to be ₹35,00,000 (approximately $42,000 USD).

This is an insurmountable sum for a lower-income family already crushed by the emotional weight of their daughter's illness. That is why I am stepping in to ask for their sake. Her father, Mukesh, told me through his tears, "Our little girl's life has a price tag we simply cannot afford."

We are in a desperate race against time. This is where we need a miracle, and that miracle can come from you.
