Two nights ago, tragedy struck the Balmer family’s beloved McClain's Pizzeria. Their entire kitchen was destroyed in a fire — heartbreakingly, on the same day they were celebrating their 13th anniversary since opening their doors.
For those who know Maggie and McClain, you know how much they pour into their restaurant and their community. Their pizzeria isn’t just a business; it’s their family’s livelihood and a gathering place for so many of us. They’ve always shown up for others — staying open through storms, holidays, and challenges — because this community means everything to them.
Now, they need our help. With the kitchen gone and their doors temporarily closed, they’re facing unimaginable uncertainty as they work to rebuild and recover. Insurance will take time, and in the meantime, they’ve lost their source of income that supports their family and their team.
I’m reaching out on behalf of Maggie and McClain to ask our community to rally around them the way they’ve always been there for us. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward helping them rebuild their kitchen, support their employees, and get back to doing what they love — serving great food and bringing people together.
Even sharing this message helps more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing up for two of the most selfless, hardworking people I know. ❤️
